Want to be my workout buddy?
UPDATE: WOW. So many of you have signed up that we filled the first session of Home Sweat Home to capacity! Alisa is thrilled, but she also made the tough call to close registration early so the session can keep its personal touch.
If you’d like to be notified about the next session of Home Sweat Home, please sign up for Alisa’s AspireFitnessNW mailing list (the signup form is in the right sidebar of her website).
To those hoping join, I apologize for the change of plans. I am so moved that so many of you are joining me on this adventure.

Happy New Year! Now that 2014 is well underway and the hubbub about everyone’s resolutions has died down, it’s time to get to work. As you may recall, I’m not a resolution-maker, but I still have plans for self-improvement. This year, my focus is health.
Suffice it to say that Christine took the lead on the self-care chapter of Minimalist Parenting. She’s an incredible role model for prioritizing self-care in the midst of busy work- and home life. Me? Well, I’m still working on it, which is why I’m sharing this news today.
I’ve invited Parent Hacks readers to join me for a free 8-week fitness challenge and I’d like to extend the same invitation to you. Here are the basics:
- Three different workouts per week with minimal equipment
- Individual, personalized check-ins and support from a certified personal trainer (one of my oldest friends, Alisa)
- A private Facebook group for community
- Good for all levels, including beginners
- Self-paced, at home, on your schedule
Click through to Parent Hacks for details (including how to sign up). The deadline to register is this Saturday, 2/1/14.
I admit the public nature of this makes me nervous (I’ve never done something like this before) but I’m hoping it will help all of us take a positive step toward health and vitality. I hope you’ll join me. — Asha
