Agreed, but I really enjoy using V-day as a way to implement my family’s “maker” value — the 2 year old “made” ziplocs of teddy grahams and pasted a cute bear-hug printout to them. (I was so proud of finding an age-appropriate craft.) and the 7 year old made candy ipods with print outs wrapped around candy heart boxes. (The work that didn’t get done on the weekend, however, did cause stress. I’ll try to start earlier next time.)
